Leave a Legacy of Hope

Your commitment today can transform the future for cancer patients and their families.

What is Planned Giving?
Planned giving, also known as legacy giving, is a way to make a lasting impact on the Cancer Support Community’s mission while also achieving your own financial and estate planning goals. Through planned giving, you can provide crucial support for our programs and services well into the future.

Why Consider Planned Giving?

  • Lasting Impact: Planned gifts help ensure that future generations facing cancer receive the support they need.

  • Tax Benefits: Many planned giving options offer favorable tax benefits for you and your estate.

  • Financial Security: Planned giving can provide you with income during your lifetime.

  • Simplicity: Planned giving options are flexible and can be tailored to your unique circumstances and desires.

Planned Giving Options

  1. Bequests: Include a provision in your will or trust to leave a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate to the Cancer Support Community.
  2. Charitable Gift Annuities (CGA): Make a gift of cash or appreciated securities to the Cancer Support Community and receive fixed income payments for life.
  3. Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRT): Transfer assets to a trust that pays you or your loved ones income for life or a term of years, with the remainder going to the Cancer Support Community.
  4. Life Insurance: Name the Cancer Support Community as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
  5. Retirement Plan Assets: Designate the Cancer Support Community as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or other retirement plan.
  6. Real Estate: Gift real estate to the Cancer Support Community, either outright or through a retained life estate.

How to Get Started

  1. Consult with Your Advisor: We recommend discussing your planned giving options with your financial advisor or estate planning attorney to determine the best approach for your financial and philanthropic goals.
  2. Inform Us: Let us know about your planned gift intention. We would love the opportunity to express our gratitude and ensure your gift aligns with our mission.
